CUSHCORE – ENGINEERED TYRE INSERTS
CushCore built a drop test tower to measure impact force. The test simulates a rock impact at speed. An accelerometer mounted on the carriage measures the deceleration rate when it impacts the tyre (“G-force”). A violent impact delivers a sharp jolt to the rider and increases the danger of rim damage or a flat tyre. CushCore reduced impact force by 50% compared to standard tubeless tyre.
